As such, it is essential to build research capacity in historical disadvantaged communities in order to broaden the pool of available researchers, particularly in the field of economics.

In this vein, Conningarth Economists has established the Conningarth Student Training and Development Scheme that provides in-house training for its own staff, as well as enabling Conningarth to act as an external training service provider to various institutions such as the Development Bank of Southern Africa, the Department of Agriculture, the University of Pretoria, Lesotho Government Officials, etc.
